Lot Line Change Requested at Planning Board Meeting

A lot line change has been proposed [by project developers] for the Partition Street Project at the last Planning Board meeting. The zoning law states that no lots smaller than 4 acres in a PW [Planned Waterfront] can be created.

New design site plans were presented, though very little could be considered different from the prior presentation; massive parking lot areas consume the majority of the building site.

What’s at Risk?

The Partition Street Project is being built on the former Cantine Mill property [aka Barclays Dam]. Back in 1985 Saugerties Village government recognized the potential of the 7 acres that borders the lower Esopus Creek and at its center the magnificent dam which was constructed to help fuel the industrial revolution.
